Raksha Bandhan is also known as Rakhi Purnima because it's celebrated
on Purnima or the full moon day, an auspicious day for the Hindus.
Though, Rakhi Purnima is gloriously celebrated in varied manners simply
because of the great Indian regional variations. Thus, the name varies
and is also referred to as Shravani Poornima in some region
or Naarli Poornima in others.
